The Academy for Educators’ Digital Wellness professional learning course equips middle and high school educators with foundational knowledge and practical strategies to support student well-being in a connected world.

Rooted in Steve Barkley’s proven framework, these courses provides practical strategies to:

• Understanding digital risks and benefits
• Practicing mindful, intentional media use
• Building healthy screen time habits

These foundational skills are essential for students’ long-term success, empowering them to reflect, self-regulate, and build healthier digital relationships—both inside and outside the classroom.

Advanced Micro-Credential & Professional Learning Options

To earn the 50-hour Digital Wellness Advanced Micro-Credential, participants will ultimately complete five expert-led courses. Courses will continue to launch on a rolling basis, leading to the full program being available in 2026.

Start today with Course 1 — Digital Wellness in the Classroom: A Foundational Framework for Educators — and continue adding courses as they launch. Each course includes personalized guidance and actionable feedback.

Educators can also earn professional learning certificates by enrolling in individual courses to focus on your growth goals without committing to the advanced micro-credential.
