Laura Wilkerson, Ed.D
Educational Leadership
I graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Secondary Education – Social Studies. I later continued my education at the University of Delaware, where I earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
With over 20 years of experience in education, I’ve served as a high school social studies teacher, online virtual instructor, and high school assistant principal. I currently teach 10th grade World History and support students at all levels of learning. I’m actively involved in our school community, promoting service learning and civic engagement through a variety of activities—such as volunteering at our local food bank and organizing community events that benefit charitable organizations.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Rob, our children—Logan, Emily, Ashley, and Bryce—and our two dogs, Sophie and Lily. We’re an active family that loves the outdoors. Living close to the Delaware beaches allows us to take day trips to the ocean and bay, where we enjoy hiking, playing in the sand and surf, and fishing.
